Seplat Energy's CEO, Roger Brown, revealed the company's plans to tap into an estimated 14 trillion cubic feet of natural gas in its newly acquired assets in Akwa Ibom State. Speaking at the Heirs Energies Leadership Forum 2025 in Abuja, Brown emphasized Nigeria's potential for boosting oil and gas production, unlocking untapped gas reserves, and driving sustainable energy growth.

Brown reaffirmed Seplat Energy's commitment to enhancing Nigeria's energy sector through accelerated oil production and expanded domestic gas supply capacity. "We're eager to unlock 14 trillion cubic feet of untapped gas in Akwa Ibom State, aligning with the government's vision to maximize every energy resource," he stated.

Seplat Energy aims to deliver 850 million standard cubic feet of gas for domestic and industrial use in Nigeria, supporting the country's energy future through accelerated oil production and gas capacity delivery for power, fertilizer production, and LNG.
